The Lackawanna County Conservation District is a non-profit subdivision of Pennsylvania’s government that is responsible for conservation work in Lackawanna County. The district participates in a variety of preservation and environmental initiatives, including the Lackawanna County Agricultural Land Preservation Program, the Dirt & Gravel Roads Program, the Chesapeake Bay Program, and more. In addition to these programs, the district in involved in environmental education presentations at local schools and communities, in order to help the public better understand local conservation efforts.
The team at Design Done Right was very excited to help the Lackawanna County Conservation District market the important work that they do. For the website, we wanted colors that remind the viewer of the natural beauty of Pennsylvania. We used sky blues, rich greens, and warm reds to mimic the hues seen in Pennsylvania landscapes. We listed all of the district’s programs right on the front page for easy accessibility and quick information, as well as included an image bar displaying photos from recent projects, to help keep the website current. We sincerely hope that the work we did to help bring attention to the Lackawanna County Conservation District will aid them in their environmental efforts!
